Sample Engagement - Past Business Review: Our client (a large UK bank) wanted assistance in implementing and managing a "Past Business Review", reviewing the investment advice provided to several thousand private clients. Subsequently, we were asked to verify the methodology employed in selecting the review population. The project was subject to scrutiny by the FSA.

• We worked closely with our client's internal review team to formulate a methodology and verify that it was fit for purpose
• We deployed five file review experts who monitored the quality of our client's internal reviews and in doing so reviewed more than 1,000 cases in a 24 month period
• Progress reports were issued to our client and to the Irish Financial Regulator for further scrutiny on a regular basis followed up with regular feedback meetings
• Subsequently, we undertook a detailed statistical investigation, which enabled us to verify the population to the agreement of all parties, including the FSA, and create an appropriate audit trail.
